Medical Assistant

The role of the school medical assistant is to strengthen and assist the educational process by improving and protecting the health status of all students, focusing on prevention of illness and early detection of health problems.
- The following services are provided:
- Screening - vision screened on an as needed basis
- General medication administration
- Immunization tracking
- Communicable disease management for the school
- Health Services policies
- Crisis management such as an injury
- Education of staff regarding student health issues
- Coordination and collaboration with parents, community health providers and staff members
